The panel discussion on wind farms will be with Charlie Prell from Crookwell Wind Farm, Gary Poile from Collector Wind Farm and Ian Lawrence from Ratch Australia.
"I have been invited as a panelist to be a part of the discussion as a land owner who will be hosting turbines as the wind farm in Collector gets built in the future," Gary Poile said.
"As the owner of the land, I am happy to share my experiences regarding the whole process.
"It has taken around 10 years to bring this through. However, despite the wait, I will share the benefits from it which makes the wait worth our time.
"As a family, we have received financial gains from it. It also has great benefits to the community with community enhancement funds.
"It also provides a broader ability for the community to market itself as a part of the renewable energy movement.
"At a time when we are raising the issue on a large scale and talking about climate change, we are also doing something for our environment.
"As a farmer, I am involved in the process and am happy about it."
Another panelist Charlie Prell from Crookwell wind farm feels that the community and hosts should be working together to get their fair share of benefits from those wind turbines.
The panel discussion will be held on October 3 from 7pm-9pm at Goulburn Soldiers Club.
Entry to the event is free.
